Catalyst SLG was born from a simple but powerful realization: most learning initiatives miss the mark because they treat learning in isolation. A compliance checklist here, a one-size-fits-all training there — but little attention is given to how learning aligns with business goals, supports leaders, and builds a culture of continuous growth.

Our founder, Dr. Alex Wanstrath, has spent over 15 years building a career that crosses traditional boundaries — as a classroom educator, a corporate learning and development leader, and a performance coach in athletics. This diverse background is the cornerstone of our approach. It allows us to see the big picture:

Alex holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology, a Master’s in Coaching Education, and brings hands-on experience in both academic and corporate environments. He’s seen firsthand how dynamic learning — tailored, relevant, and integrated — transforms potential into performance.
